Monthly Marketing Tips

February 2018:

1.       Post one of the ads made available to you via Leave A Legacy on your Facebook page.

a.       Click on the following link:  http://bit.ly/LALDigital

b.       Open the “Facebook” folder.

c.       Open the “Shareable Images” folder.

d.       Select the fourth ad – Sharon Foust.

e.       Add this narrative to your post:  We depend on gifts from people like you to keep us strong for future generations.  Do you believe in the work that we do?  Pledge to #LeaveYourLegacy, to support ((Name of your organization)) long after your lifetime.  Learn more by contacting ((Name of your development contact)) at ((Organization phone number)).

2.       Check to see that bequest language is included, as appropriate, on client admittance and discharge documents for your organization.

3.       In addition to the trainings conducted by Leave A Legacy® York County, check out the following website for resources:  www.plannedgiving.com.  Also, consider signing up for Planned Giving’s quarterly newsletters, titled “planned giving tomorrow”.  To do so, email your name, place of employment, job title, email address, physical address and phone number to Amra Leckerman at:  amra@plannedgiving.com

 

January 2018:

1.       Post one of the videos made available to you via Leave A Legacy on your website, Facebook page, and/or as a link in an upcoming e-newsletter.

a.       Click on the following link:  http://bit.ly/LALDigital

b.       Open the “Videos” folder.

c.       Select the third video – 60-second video featuring Diane Baker.

d.       Add this narrative to your post:  You – yes, you – can support ((Name of your organization)) long after your lifetime.  Learn more by contacting ((Name of your development contact)) at ((Organization phone number)).

2.       Confirm that information about planned giving is on all of your marketing materials – brochure, newsletter, social media, etc.

3.       Commit to attending the next Leave A Legacy lunch and learn program.  Information regarding the date/topic will soon be made available.

 

December 2017:

2.       If you have a giving society, be sure to thank new members in your e-newsletter.

3.       In addition to the trainings conducted by Leave A Legacy® York County, consider supplementing them with other local trainings, such as those made available by the Susquehanna Valley Council of Charitable Gift Planners (www.svccgp.org). 

November 2017: 

1.        Confirm that the Leave a Legacy® logo is on your organization’s Facebook and LinkedIn company pages.

2.       Review your website.  Do you have a planned giving page?  If not, consider developing one.  If yes, does anything on it need updated?

3.       Ensure that your development staff have access to planned giving marketing materials. 

a.       If your organization does not have its own planned giving marketing materials, then take advantage of the free brochures available for Leave a Legacy® partners.  Also, consider speaking to Kendall Menzer as to how you might customize the brochure to highlight your organization.

b.       If your organization has its own materials, ensure that the Leave a Legacy® logo is present on each item.

4.       Commit to attending the Leave a Legacy® Lunch and Learn program being held on November 20th at 12pm.
